The Onion: America's Finest News Source, The Onion is a scathingly cynical satirical newspaper. It's clever and continually funny, even though a lot of people don't seem to get it. An excellent read, and the book of old stories is fantastic.

Something Awful: Not exactly fun for the whole family, but a huge barrel of fun for the laugh-hungry among us. Something Awful is updated almost daily with a long article on whatever the hell takes the author's fancy, and there are huge archives of fun and some great features. The ethos of irreverence makes this a grin-filled destination.

Penny Arcade: One of the few web-comics I have sat and gone through the archives of (along with » 8-bit Theatre), Penny Arcade is a consistently high-quality games-themed comic, drawn with great style and wit and accompanied every update with an increasingly long weblog/discussion part, which always humbles my meagre vocabulary. Quality stuff.

OverClocked Remix: If you have a strange love of classic computer game music, like myself, this is fantastic. Various talented chaps take an old melody and mess about with it, often coming up with some brilliant music. Also see the hosted » Meridian Advance, a classic console sound-chip emulator, one of the finest gems I've come across in a long time. Beauty.
